I am having fever!

Oh no... My darling is having fever at school today. Is it the weather that making him sick? Heavy downpour early in the morning with glaring bright sunshine in the afternoon. High chances due to the seasonal virus - HFMD or the influenza A which been notified by the school of such cases in Dylan's class.

As soon as I received the undesirable call from his form teacher, Ms. Jasslyn, daddy and me immediately went to fetch this boy and dashes to Thomson hospital. Praying hard that it is not HFMD, not HFMD, not HFMD... After doctor's diagnosis, it was some flu bugs that would not let him have fun and enjoy his summer... Phew... sweat!

(Just finished feeding him paracetamol at 1am) Feeding him medicine just like fighting war...
Being sick made him more clinging to his daddy and cranky over lots of instructions. He refused to sleep or let me pat him with lullaby. Instead, he fall asleep on his daddy's back.

My darling Dylan, hope you will get well soon!

Love always,
Mommy

Singapore River Cruise

After dinner, uncle Marcus suggested to take a river taxi at Esplanade. Mummy were so excited as can bring Dylan to have a boat ride, while Dylan was humming "row row row your boat, gently down the stream, merrily merrily merrily merrily, life is but a dream..."We hop on to the river cruise and enjoyed the beautiful night view of Clark Quay, with the comfort breeze...

Fire works set off in the sky in conjunction with special event of Youth Olympic Games while we stepped out of the boat. It was a nice evening with sparkling nite life in the garden city of Singapore.

Swimming at Gu Gu's Place

It was a hot and sunny National Day 09 Aug 2010, we went to gu gu's house at Jurong for a water play. Jie jie Tasha and Resha were in their cute bikini and ready to jump into the water. There were a little incident whereby Dylan fall and nearly drown before wearing the arm float, daddy immediately dash into the water to rescue this boy. Who knows, the stupid security guard came to scold daddy for not wearing the swimming costume and jumped into the water. Daddy was fuming mad and got his ID to lodge a complaint against security guard for not being considerate and judge the sudden/ emergency situation.

I wonder all these security guard were really "follow the books" but not using their common sense. How can you see a boy drowning and still bother whether you are in swimming costume?? STUPID!!

Anyway, the children had great fun at the pool, with lots of memories in their children hood!

Dylan: Thanks to uncle Allan and gu gu for taking care of me at the pool, it was so fun!!

Hair Cut

Mummy always wanted to keep Dylan's hair long to cover the bald look. As he has very little hair and his hair's texture is kind of dry and thin, short hair make his scalp very obvious. However, trimming is a need, and this time he seems alright with the hair cut be done on the car ride.

I received a call from Dylan's teacher requesting to bring a food item started with letter "C" (as they are now learning letter "C'" in letterland module). Other than the usual classroom learning, they would be having their first picnic neaby school. I was left with choices of cranberries juice and cupcake and .... It was my first time baking corn cupcake and they weren't tasted very yummy, OK la my guinea pig said eeatible!! AT least I baked something for him for his assignment! The feeling was ~~ so good~~

Celebration of Yuan Xiao Jie - 26 Feb 2010

The school organised a celebration of Lantern Festival - Yuan Xiao Jie in their 2-storeys lovely Pat's Schoolhouse compound.

There were family-fun filled activities for parents and kids and we were dressed up the best Chinese New Year costumes as to mark the end of Lunar Chinese New Year 2010.

Few activities we participated such as face/ arm painting, making glutinous rice balls and lantern, lion dance and drums playing.

Dylan refused to let the teachers to draw a tiger on his face, hence, a small one on his hand to make him happy whole day.

First Chinese New Year in Singapore

HApPy NeW yEaR !!
This is the first time we spending Chinese New Year in Singapore.
For the first time we own our first home-sweeet-home with first oriental decoration in our neighborhood! Daddy bought this lanterns in Msia and with Jiu Jiu's help, the lanterns were up with it blinking effects and were very eye catching!

Every passersby would stop and look at lanterns for a few second, Daddy feel so proud of it and complimented himself for having such a good taste chosen that lanterns. Mummy Preferred those simple big, red lanterns, somehow, she did not make a fuss as daddy like it so much!

Trying to wear pants

A 21 months old boy is trying to figure out wearing pants by himself. Struggling with the front and 2 holes for each leg, he got stuck with the 2 legs into a hole of a pant. Ended up managed to wear the pant for 1 leg only. Good try Dylan!!

DUriAn duRiaN

My hubby is a durian lover and hoping that Dylan would be just like him.
Looking at the pictures, he was indeed enjoying the king of fruits pretty much. Hmm... like father like son!

Talking ...

Dylan starts to speak a few words and non-stop repeating it everyday.

Favorite words ~ "MINE". Snatch things from us, saying MINE, refused to let ppl carry then hide his hands behind saying MINE, walking up the stairs saying MINE. MINE, MINE, MINE... I nearly go crazy by hearing this word.

Few words he likes to say:
Dylan: Dog (gou), cat( Mao), Fish (YU), bird (nao, instaed of niao)
Open - kai. He has mistaken the English "open" and mandarin "kai" is one word. Hence, he always tell us to open_kai something for him. That is so hilarious.
